Welcome to HotelGuide.Networks' directory of hotels and hotel reviews for Bermuda!
Despite a balmy reputation, Bermuda lacks status as a tropical paradise, mainly because it's in the Atlantic rather than in the Caribbean, some 508 miles due east of North Carolina's Cape Hatteras. But no matter, because Bermuda still ranks high as a paradise of pastel cottages, shops, hotels and restaurants, set amid lush green landscape in one of the most upscale patches of land around. Golf and tennis are popular here, and other attractions include the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo (BAMZ), the Royal Naval Dockyard, and the Cristal Caves of Bermuda, discovered in 1905 by two boys during a game of cricket. Fort Hamilton, built to protect Hamilton Harbour, with dungeons and a garden moat, has panoramic views. Annual events include the prestigious Bermuda Bridge Tournament staged every January. Casual attire on Bermuda is a good deal dressier than on most islands, and it's not uncommon to see men combine sports coats with Bermuda shorts, especially for cocktails. Getting around is easy with a bus and water ferry system that circes the island, heading into Hamilton. Bermuda lodging ranges from quaint cottages and guest houses to upscale hotels.
